{lopez family - atlanta family photographer}

I have had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family many times! They are all so kind and wonderful to see year after year. I love witnessing all the changes that happened throughout their lives such as going off to college and simply kids growing up.

To photograph each family group is one of my favorite things to do because it gives each family an opportunity to have their own photography session! I also love getting shots of the entire family together, grandkids with grandparents, and parents by themselves sometimes for the first time since their weddings.

It’s so important to document your family each year and it gives everyone an excuse to all get together!!

This was such a smiley baby! We usually have to coax smiles out of little ones and it takes a lot of patience to quickly capture those fleeting smiles when they do happen. Not this darling boy those! He started smiling before we even started the session and smiled the whole time! My assistant and I were totally in love and have never seen so many perfect smiles during a newborn session. He was the perfect model and captured our hearts immediately! Aren’t these the sweetest little smiles you have ever seen!

{harrison is going to kindergarten - carrollton family photographer}

The day is here. My sweet boy is going to “big kid” school and is not looking back! You know, he’s been in “school” since he was about one by going to a mommy’s morning out program a couple days a week, then went to (pre) pre-k then official pre-k last year, so this isn’t our first rodeo. But today felt different. Today felt like it was real. Like he’s officially a big kid and not my baby boy anymore. It’s a big milestone that he is all too excited to bring on and I’m so happy and grateful for his amazing attitude towards it.

This morning as I was walking him in, he didn’t want to hold my hand so he could hang on to his backpack straps like a big kid. (Although I made him lol) He was telling everyone good morning as we passed and even exclaimed to one teacher, “I’m the new kid here!”. He went straight down the hall saying, “this smells like my old school!”. Went straight into his classroom and was anxious to get our pictures over with so he could get to his desk/table and meet new friends. I am so thankful that he is such a social and outgoing kid! He has no problem meeting people and making them smile and I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite attribute of his :)

I finally let my tears fall as I got back in my car although they almost escaped as a teacher asked “you okay momma?” as I was leaving the building. It’s a new chapter and he is going to do SO well, I am 100% positive on it! And if you need me, this momma will be over here wiping my tears and counting down the hours to ask my baby boy how his first day of kindergarten was!

{kerri's family maternity session in west georgia}

I truly feel like I have the best job in the world and as a maternity photographer in the West Georgia area, I adore capturing growing families! You may recognize Kerri from a maternity milkbath session that I did with her about a month ago that was SO beautiful. This time around, she brought in her boys and they rocked it! Big brother Asher is going to love his new sister to pieces, I can already tell :)

Now we just have to wait for her arrival and I honestly can’t wait to do her newborn photoshoot. Personally, I hope she has Asher’s dark hair and loooong eyelashes! I have a feeling she is goig to be absolutely beautiful either way :)

I’d LOVE to capture your family in that special time in your life that only comes for a short while! Contact me here!
