There is just something different about that “last” baby. They seemed to be babyed longer, snuggled just a little harder, given just a tad bit more patience and seen through different eyes. I think it’s because after having your first, or more than one, baby, most of us are in “survival mode”. Where it is stressful and new and goes by wayyyy fast. When that “last” baby comes around though, you already know those things like that babies don’t break quite as easily. But most importantly, you know just how much a thief time is and that sometimes its okay to snuggle them just a little longer, or sniff the top of their heads as a newborn because sadly, the smell fades.
I think that is the biggest appeal for me as a newborn and baby photographer. I have the experience as a momma that my baby’s sweet smell fades just a little. And they only have one first smile, first birthday, and first photoshoot. I always strive to beautifully photograph those moments that are fleeting yet beyond beautiful.
Contact me to set up your newborn or baby photoshoot because I would adore to have the privilege!!
Happy birthday to the cutest!! I swear dimples get me every time and both Riley and her big brother Jackson had the cutest faces!! And they both look like their gorgous mama! I loved this session and capturing this beautiful family!!
Photographing seniors is always one of my great pleasures! I was so happy when these girls’ moms came to me with the ideas that they had for their senior session. We went to the most beautiful location at Hightower Falls and when I say that the girls did such a good job, they killed it! Just look at all the variety we got with them giving classic senior vibes as well as high-end models!
I loved the old architecture that was there as well as the stream and of course the waterfall. It is always so much fun when my subjects go along with my ideas of getting in the water or getting messy! Just check out all of their gorgeous photos, they are both absolutely stunning and I’m so thrilled that they were happy with them all!
Would you just look at this gorgeous baby girl! Lucy was absolutely perfect at our newborn session, she could not have been more of an angel. I truly loved working with her parents as well!
One of my favorite aspects of capturing newborns and their family, is that I get the chance to make moms feel beautiful even when their bodies are in that limbo stage. As a mom to two, I have been right there. When you first give birth to your baby, your body is in such a weird stage! You’re not pregnant anymore but you still have a little bump so the clothes that you had while pregnant don’t necessarily work and then your old clothes before you were pregnant don’t work either.
I love that I can provide a full wardrobe for my new moms that are flattering and you don’t have to go out and purchase an outfit that you may or may not wear again because of your changing body! I also pride myself on knowing the right poses and angles that are the most flattering! My goal as your newborn and family photographer is to make sure that not only your brand new baby looks perfect and amazing while capturing all of their brand new details, but to make you as parents feel beautiful too. Those first few weeks are tough we all know that! But I’m gonna do my very best to make you look your very best!
