Fall family photography season is upon us!! I have enjoyed photographing families for over 10 years now and I still love every minute of it. I love capturing the love between everyone, the connection while they interact, and everything in between.

This beautiful family was so wonderful to work with and the background of the zinnia field was a photographers dream!! Pretty sure I will be trying out this location again!

Sweet and handsome jack had his first babyplan session and he totally rocked it!! My absolute favorite trait to capture at the 3-4 month mark is their SMILE! It is at this stage that baby is starting to show their personality and recognizing smiles and starting to coo and talk. And it’s the best!!!

Jack did not disappoint, being smiley and charming the entire time! I can’t wait to watch this beautiful boy grow and change throughout his first year of life and I am so happy I get to document and photograph each milestone through his babyplan.

Sweet sweet Emmie!! How in the world are you one year old? I remember your newborn session like it was yesterday and it is so hard to believe out baby plan is completed!! I have truly loved watching you grow so quickly and getting to know your parents!! I can’t wait to see you as the years go on!!

Photographing another photographers family is one of the biggest honors :) Especially when they are as talented and precious as this boys momma!! Adorable Woods, his sisters and momma are all more beautiful than words. As I was editing this session I kept saying to myself, “gah they are all SO pretty!! Omg they’re stunning!!” And lord if those girls didn’t serve gorgeous face!! That’s the thing with photographers kids, they are stunning and know exactly how to pose, even though they don’t always want to lol.

I am so happy with the images I got out of this session and I hope they live up to what momma wanted!! This boy was desperately wanted and is already so loved. You can see it in every image. Get ready kid, you’re going to be photographed a lot, and I know you will be the cutest in every image!!

Being a newborn photographer is the best!! For real, I love my job!! Snuggling sweet little ones and capturing all of those perfect details like baby bubbles, pouty lips, sleepy faces and back rolls :) It’s a dream! Little miss Crosley did NOT disappoint! She was perfect from beginning to end. She’s a tiny little tater and I swear I would’ve kept her if her mommy and daddy let me!

I get the question, “when should I book?” a lot. And my usual response is right away! My availability can be very sparse because I do tend to book up months far in advance. Then I get the other question, “how do we know when our session will be because we don’t know exactly when baby will arrive?”. So with newborn sessions, I will set a tentative date in my calendar surrounding baby’s due date and then we wait on them to get Earthside! I also only take on a limited number each month because of this reason. So the earlier you book, the better chances you will have to get a session with me!! If you don’t set it early, I will always try to make room for you as well if I can! But to be safe, the earlier the better :)

One year. HOW has it been one whole year photographing this sweet, beautiful, smiley boy?? Gosh, when I say that baby plans are the best, I want to shout it to the roof tops!! Because babies don’t keep, and they change so much every month of their first year of life. And I am so happy to document every milestone showing it all.

I distinctly remember handsome Wilder’s newborn session with his adorable romper (that his momma had him in, she has impeccable taste!), and I just thought they were the most beautiful family. Just a little info on my baby plan! It is designed to have a session about every three months starting at 3 months old. They are made to capture the big milestones. Like smiling at three months, sitting around 6 months, pulling up and standing at 9 months, and of course their first birthday celebrating with a smash cake! The best part of the baby plan is that you receive a complimentary album at the end of the year with images from each session! Leaving you with their first year beautifully documented in one heirloom quality album. I absolutely love it, and I especially love seeing your sweet baby grow and change throughout the year. Oh beautiful Hannah it’s hard to believe that one year has already come!! I have loved working with this beautiful family over the last FIVE years! I remember when I did big sister Claire’s one year session! And how could I forget Hannah’s gorgeous three month session HERE. As you can see from both of these sessions, Claire has so much love for her baby sister and it makes my heart smile so big!
