{mia's family maternity session - dallas, ga maternity photographer}
I have a confession to make! So when it comes to editing your gallery I typically add in around 45 images per gallery. I think that that gives a lot of variety but doesn’t give you too many images making it harder on you to make your decisions.
Well… With Mia‘s maternity session I couldn’t narrow it down! I believe she ended up having around 60 images lol! Which is way more than I normally do! But, we just had so many good images and I didn’t know which ones would be better over the others! Funny enough, she felt the same way and couldn’t choose either and had to get the whole gallery lol!
I was so excited to have her session and meet her, her husband and her sweet son Wyatt. As you can see we got so many good images of all of them together as well as some of just her with her bump. Their baby boy will be here before we know it and I truly cannot wait to meet him and to photograph their family of four. Mia is one of those people that I think it’s a kindred spirit to me and I’m so excited to work together again here in the next few weeks!

I have had the pleasure of photographing this sweet family many times! They are all so kind and wonderful to see year after year. I love witnessing all the changes that happened throughout their lives such as going off to college and simply kids growing up.
To photograph each family group is one of my favorite things to do because it gives each family an opportunity to have their own photography session! I also love getting shots of the entire family together, grandkids with grandparents, and parents by themselves sometimes for the first time since their weddings.
It’s so important to document your family each year and it gives everyone an excuse to all get together!!

There are very few gifts for grandparents that are better than a family session with their children and grandchildren. In my experience, I have noticed that when grandparents get a gift of a photo session, they are over the moon! It is an opportunity to get together the whole family and it’s even better when family is not local.
I had such a great time with the Michalewicz family!! Posing all four boys was a bit of a challenge, but it was definitely a challenge I accept! I love seeing everyone’s different personalities and just being silly! It’s beyond rewarding as a photographer to get smiles from everyone all at once!!

Sometimes it can be tricky working with larger groups of people, but I am always up for the challenge! This blended family of 9 was so much fun to work with! I love getting group shots but I also think getting some individual and candid shots are so important to highlight the individual personalities that make up this great family!
I like to start with a full family group shot, especially if you have small children, but it’s also a good idea when older kids are involved. Kids tend to open up easier if they see that other family members such as parents are comfortable. I have to gain a lot of trust quickly if I’m going to get a great shot. Sometimes it can be work getting those perfect smiles and happy faces, but I have a lot of tricks up my sleeve, and some of them involve making me look and act super silly! I don’t mind if I get those giggles and laughs even at my expense!
The Bowling family was a joy to work with and I am so happy with the images we were able to capture of this beautiful family!
